1. What RefactorIQ is
RefactorIQ is a local-first desktop application (Windows and Linux) for tracking, pricing, prioritizing, and reporting technical debt. Your workspace lives in a database on your own machine; the app works fully offline after installation. A free Demo edition (10 items, core features) is free forever; paid plans unlock the full product.
2. License grant
- A paid plan grants one person the right to use the full app, within the plan's activation limit: 3 machines for Solo Pro (yearly), 5 machines for Lifetime (one user).
- Licenses are delivered as signed offline keys and verified on-device. You may back up your key and move machines freely; release an old machine (Upgrade → Billing → Machines) if you hit the limit.
- You may not resell, rent, sublicense, or share your license with other people. One buyer, one user.
3. Free trial
Every paid plan starts with a 15-day full-Pro trial, no card required. After the trial the workspace locks to Free limits until you activate a plan. Your data is never deleted — it unlocks the moment you activate.
4. Billing
- Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, Merchant of Record (cards, PayPal, Apple Pay; global VAT/sales tax, invoices, and receipts handled by them).
- Solo Pro ($199/yr) is a subscription that auto-renews until cancelled. Lifetime ($499) is a one-time payment with no renewal.
- Prices are in USD. Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your billing country.
5. Cancellation
Cancel subscriptions anytime from the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Access continues until the end of the paid period; the workspace then falls back to Free limits with all data intact. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't reverse-engineer the license verification to bypass paid plans, and don't use the app to break the law.
- Bug reports are welcome; attempting to disrupt the checkout, licensing, or update infrastructure is not.
7. Updates and availability
The app checks for signed updates (opt-out in Settings → License). We aim for a stable offline-first product but provide it "as is", without warranties beyond what consumer law in your country requires. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before a claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted here with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions: mazigh.iminem@gmail.com.
